Our Crazy Immigration Story Part 1

So my wife and I have been working on our work visa and residency for almost a year. We bought a fixer upper Albergue on the Camino de Santiago ( Frances). It is called Casa Banderas (casabanderas.com) on Facebook it is Casabanderascamino (@casabanderasvilacha) We live in California and I had to leave Spain when the Pandemic hit on 15 March 2020. Our visa paperwork was put on hold by the Spanish consulate in San Francisco. It was finally approved to move forward in September and we have had to travel back and forth to Galicia several times. Myself twice and my wife three times from California to Madrid then drive to Galicia. This Tuesday we will take our final trip to pick up our TIE cards and complete the final step. I will post about our journey which is becoming harder because the flights are becoming difficult to get. This trip we go SF to LAX to Heathrow to Madrid. We arrive in Madrid very late so we will spend the night at the airport Hilton then attempt the drive to Galicia. We have copies of our deed of our property, our cita for our final meeting in Lugo, our passports, our PCR COVID TEST, and our visas. We will keep you all posted.
